Edifice said "in 24 hours" 2 days ago.
We're still having trouble with the domain, it's out of my hands, just a process we're waiting on from a 3rd party.
I provided a 24 hour timeframe as i thought it would of been resolved, apparently not.
I cannot give an accurate ETA at the moment, we're simply waiting on a reply from host.
Armory itself has been updated with the API, i just need to write some documentation surrounding it (if that's what you were referring to regarding the armory update).
Once openwow is working again, we'll be adding the marketplace additions as mentioned.
Things that won't work while openwow is down:
- Tooltips
- Certain icons
- Links obviously
If this persists, we'll be forced to make an in-house version, generally speaking this should of been done already.
So once that's all enabled and solved, the Achievement points Leaderboard will be implemented, right?
p.s. thanks for keeping us informed Edifice
i know everyone is anxious to get all this up, and running. Give the staff sometime before making posts about these issues. I am sure they are working hard on fixing a lot of these things. We just have to be patient good work on all the stuff as of recent Warmane Staff. I am sure it has been rough, but some of us really do appreciate the work you guys put in
I mean, it's easy to fall into this kind of trap. Look at Path of Exile, that's a pretty big game and they rely on a third party in poe.trade, if it were to go down (it has before) the game becomes beyond unplayable for 90% of the playerbase and even though GGG knows this they are too lazy to offer a homebrew alternative.
Don't beat yourself up too much. openwow saved your team a lot of time and allowed them to focus on more important things
Music to my ears.
Achievement leaderboard added.
For now, this requires that a character's armory page is visited to be added to the pool of monitored characters for achievement point changes, because selecting and calculating points from almost the largest table in the database automatically for all characters is not a good idea ;) even if run once and cached from there-on.
You can navigate to your /etc/hosts and enter either of the following manual DNS overrides to restore openwow functionalty:
