AFter 2-3 years Im returning to the game and I cant see my characters in the website. I used to check if my characters were still there by looking in the store and when I do it there is none. What happened? did they delete my characters or what? :/

If you checked only on the website their names could've been deleted as a part of scheduled name clean up every year so they don't show. Check in-game by downloading the launcher.
Same thing happened to me, came back after 6 years to find out the realm was deleted and I lost my characters. I even had spent coins on them, feels bad that I had to start fresh and everything I had was lost. You are not alone brother
