[PVE] [3.3.5] Mage Guide | Dedicated website

Hello mage community of warmane !

I created a google website to geather and share most of knowledges I was able to find about the P.V.E. aspects of the mage.

And I'm happy to be able to share it with you today !

You will find on this website Guides on all pve specialisations of the mage. Part about Fire and Arcane mage are more detailed then the others.

I give you there my list of addons which are available to download.

You will also find some tips and tricks about each bosses of the Icecrown Citadel.

Mage PVE 3.3.5 Website




I have in my mind to create a real platform where gathered infos about the mage. I will maybe later add some things as videos about specific points of gameplay, a section about how to gear and how to play at the differents patches of the third expension of World of Warcraft. But these things reminds now as project and noting more then that.

I will be happy about any feedback you can give it to me about the website. Whatever it's about: infos, design or any improvement I can made. Do not hesitate to fill the survey available on the website. Do not hesitate to ask any question here on the forum by posting on the thread or by
sending me a PM.

If some peoples want to work deeper on it with me I'm looking for: 1) Someone who can be able to improve the aspect of the website. 2) Someone which have an in-depht knowledge about the previous patches of Warth of The Lich King expension, to work on a part dedicated to gearing and gameplay of mages stage by stage from the lvl 80 to the 3.3.5 gearing and raiding. 3) Whoever people which have original ideas to add !

You finally shared it :D , Nice job , i recommend this guide for all the mages either new ones or experimented ones , it contains everything you need to know about mage specs , and how to improve your dps .

Is there any good spots to pull multiple mobs in level 80?
By multiple I mean like 5+

I've been going a AOE focused frost/fire spec that I really want to work at end game as well for farming :p

You will find an AOE spot in RS, the fight against Halion in 25 men Heroic mode (by killing Embers), but it's not the job of the mage to take care of it, rogues and warriors are way more efficient on doing this.

You will also find occasion to AOE on trash mobs of each ICC and RS.

But it's not relevent to use an AOE oriented spec to go in end game raids, the value you add to the raid is poor and except for Halion Heroic fight you will not even make profit of it. And to even try this boss you will need a guild and you will not find guild who both goes at this level and accept people who cannot pull decent dps on the other bosses because they use a aoe oriented spec.

Yeah of course, I wasn't thinking about in raids etc.
More on places to farm gold or rep and that kind of stuff. If it is even needed?

I will probably be going fire for raids :)

Sorry it's a miscomprehension on my side,

To farm multiply mob look at the Icecrown in the plains. Also at Jotunheim.

Hi. I have been levelling my mage as CS FFB. Frost spec has cathed my eye and i wanna try it but is it as viaböe as arcane or ffb mage? Does it peform good on raids and dungeons etc.?

Frost spec is not competitive compared to a Fire or and Arcane Mage (especially as arcane, becasue fire's specs have not a lot of value as early 80).

But you can do a decent dps, and it's really fun to play. So you will not beat other mages but you can play it, especially in dunjons you will have your own utility, and you will enjoy huge numbers the Deep Freeze will give you on bosses.

what is a good gear setup for a lvl 30 frost mage? im lvl28 right now and i have 512hp and was wondering if theres anything i can do to increase my hp

Never met you(i did hear about you from my friends in tfk tho), but the website is awesome. I've been playing mage for... a while, and there's finaly a page I can refer people who want to learn to. Great work.
