I hope no one minds a technically retail mog dump. Most of these were assembled during MoP so they should work on Frostwolf.
Unfortunately since I can't log into my retail account to access Mogit (50 toons all 20+), I can't give a comprehensive list of what exactly everything is, but I'll try to at least state the raid or tier/season gear. I'm a heavy solo player so I try to avoid using too many pieces that are Cata HC or MoP raid and therefor would be harder to obtain.

Sword is from Mother in BT. Shield is from Dalaran lvl80 epic vendors. Shoulders are also from BT (Gorefiend iirc). Gloves and boots are lvl60 greens (I got them from AK but I'm sure you could find them elsewhere). Chest and Legs are unfortunately from a Vanilla specialization crafted Enchanted Thorium pieces.

Swords are Naxx25 KT. Shoulders and belt are t16 from SoO. Everything else is ICC25H Warrior t10 stuff. The blue version of the set (what I used before I got my hands on everything else) is just t7 lvl80 stuff from a mix of Naxx, EoE, and OS.

Pretty much all Firelands10N- except for the chest and legs which are T15 from ToT, but unfortunately the LFR version so you'll likely have to use points. Not entirely sure what the boots are or the level range.

How much work did it take? The only items that can be "farmed" is the weapons. The Very Light Sabre is a Gnome only Warrior quest in the starting area in Cata. The Argent Avenger is a quest reward from a small chain in EPL/Strat. The rest can only be bought from the shop. Now, I only play on Outland so I don't know the availability on other realms (Mount/T3). Also, the weapons are a bit of a catch 22. If you play on Cata, you can't get the Argent Avenger and if you play on WotLK or below you can't get the Very Light Sabre (as it was added in Cata). Maybe they can be bought for coins tho.. no idea.
There's no transmog on Outland either but if there would be, this would be the way to go for me. Minus the 2h and the Tabard ofc. I'll most likely get a full Redemption set sometimes soon when I find some spare coin regardless if transmog exists or not.
Alternatives to the 2 hand weapons would be (imo), The Hungering Cold and/or Slayer of the Lifeless (or a mix of both, for the different sheathing (one goes to the hip, one to the back) or a Claw of the Frost Wyrm for off-hand. Kel'Thuzad's Reach/The Stray would work too.

How much work did it take? : It took me quite a while to farm the scrolls but the gear took two 10 man Ulduar runs to find the set , got the legs while i was farming Baron Rivendare's mount and Waist and feet is easy to get. Scrolls aside it took me two weeks to farm up everything.

How much work did it take? Well, not to much work, swipe the card and go (Chili)nuts! Only thing that was "hard" was gloves which took like 3 weeks i think.
