Im 6.3k GS but my DPS is like a 8k only.
Just as a preface, fury warriors are very gear-dependent to pull out the numbers. On top of the unbalanced stats, you also face a lot of rage issues as a fury warrior while gearing up.
As for macros, there's a lot you can use, and they won't magically give you a couple thousand more dps. However there are many bad macros that you shouldn't use. They're very popular unfortunately, so if you're already using one, get rid of it.
1) 1-button dps macro - This is a macro that has a castsequence of BT/WW and spams Heroic strike in the meantime. This macro not only reduces your situational flexibility, but can also rage-starve you. I'll get back to rage starving in a bit.
2) Any macro with an ability + Heroic strike in it - The problem with this macro is that it gives you no control over your rage. Let's say you pop Recklessness on pull and your first melee hit misses. Now you don't have enough rage for BT/WW, but your macro will queue a heroic strike. Not only this keeps you rage starved, but it also wastes a Recklessness stack!
3)A "/stopcasting" Slam macro - This may sound like a good macro, but the /stopcasting command will interrupt any queued Heroic Strikes / Cleaves, so that's a no-no.
As for the rotation itself, remember to never delay your Bloodthirst and Whirlwind. If you get a Slam! proc use it, but only when the GCD it causes won't make you delay your BT/WW. A simple example is, if you have 1 second left before Bloodthirst comes up again, don't Slam.
Note that there are exceptions to this rule (such as holding off Whirlwind when a window of AoE is coming up, or when a major trinket proc is about to happen in the next couple of seconds), but for starters try to have a perfect usage of BT/WW.
•Remember to Sunder Armor if you aren't, it provides you and all other physical dps with a neat damage increase (around 10% iirc).
•Do not mindlessly spam Execute when it's usable, be mindful of your rage at all times.
•Same thing applies to Heroic Strike. It's not imperative that you have a HS queued up 100% of the time. More often that not it will cost you dps, instead of giving you more.
•Pay lots of attention to your positioning, don't get parried (it's devastating to get a BT/WW parried), maximize your uptime on the boss. This is what makes most of the difference in the end.
Execute is the last in order to use, at the point where you should use it, there should not be a rage problem with 6+k GS.Quote:

HS will eather cost 1-2 rage or 11-12 rage, it wont ever grant u more rage than it costs...
Macroing HS to every ability and spamming it mindlessly is the dumbest thing u can advise anyone to do.
Use a completely diferent bind for both HS and Cleave, NEVER macro it in another abilities.
When u are below 50 Rage and u are about to BT > WW, u should almost NEVER prio HS over those 2 abilities, aka, skip HS untill next white melee hit lands.
And yes, Execute spam can indeed Rage starve u, even if u are at 6.7kgs.
At that point, u should prio Execute over HS when at/below 50 Rage, cos its better to land a Melee White Swing and Execute, than to land a HS and do nothing for 1.5sec (unless u can do HS and Sunder Armor/Demo Shout/Commanding Shout during that 1 gcd, something u wont be doing constantly).
As for positioning, it plays the most important role when it comes to any melee dps, not only fury war, so if u want to do good dps, work on positioning and anticipating what boss/tank/raid will do next and be ready for it.
HS doesnt grant any rage, you can only get partial refund on the cost - 10 on crit from glyph +1 from unbridled wrath if you have it specced and it procs.Quote:
