[ADDONS] How to get any addon for any game version.

Hello, and welcome to my very simple guide on how to get any addon for any game version. Many people resort to third party websites which can contain malware, while this method utilizes the archived old files that are guaranteed virus-free. We are assuming that it was available when retail was at that version. So you CAN NOT get a new addon made only for WoD, but you CAN get an addon that was made in WoTLK, but is now updated to WoD.

NOTE: This will not go into detail on how to install the addons themselves, only how to retrieve the guaranteed original files from the curse website's archives. That said, let's get started.

First of all, go to Curse.com's WoW addon section. From here on, browse until you see an addon that you'd like to install. I chose the addon Bagnon, as it is an old addon that was used all the way back in 3.3.5, and i personally like it. It is currently updated to 7.0.3, but we are gonna find the older versions.

First click on the addon you want to download.

After you click on it, you will see a page similar to this. Now, you do not want to click "download", but rather "Project site", like the arrow shows.

Now you have arrived at Curseforge, and this is where the old addon versions are stored. Simply click the tab called "files".

Here you will see a list of all the different versions that the addon has put out, sorted from newest to oldest. The game version is outlined in Pink. Now, we want to find the version that we play on. I personally play on WoTLK 3.3.5, so i need to find the page which has the 3.3.5 game version by navigating the pages outlined in Yellow. If you are looking for cata or MoP versions, you find those instead.

After a bit of searching i find the version i want at page 7. The page number will be different for each different addon and/or desired version. Now, i simply click the files name, shown by the red arrow.

Now i have found the specific files versions page, and i can NOW click "Download", and download the addon to my computer. This downloaded file will be the older version you found, and not the most recent.

And thats it folks, i will not go on with how to install the addons themselves, a it is the same as with any other addon. If you need help with this, there are many addon installation guides on the site. Hope this helped some of you who are confused with all the different files floating around. This is an easy and organized system to find official addons guaranteed free of malware :)
