Flight Paths aren't being saved and don't connect to each other in Outland.

Hi guys- I just started playing in Outland about a week ago. I went ahead and paid for immediate level 70 however upon riding around in Outland acquiring flightpoints I've noticed that flight points don't connect. For example, only Shattrath and Honor Hold are connected. While only the flightpoints inside of Shadowmoon Valley are connected. But I am unable to fly from Shattrath to Shadowmoon Valley. Also I am able to fly from Ironforge to Isle of Quel'danas yet when I attempt to fly back to Ironforge it says I haven't learned any connected flight paths. This is pretty annoying as I only have basic riding. Any advice on how to correct this is greatly appreciated.
