What's faster ? Quest or RDF on this 1x server ?
Questing, but you can be in queue for RDF, since you can get some gear upgrades that will help you.
if you're a tank / healer then definitely questing, because you might only be in queue for 5 minutes before it pops, but as dps, definitely queue up and go do some quests "while you wait"
In wrath questing is far faster, but as mentioned rdf is only there to give you some extra loot that will help you.
Quest all the way. Rdfs arent worth unless you are completely clueless on where to quest or how to do it effitiently.
You get extra xp for the first rdf of the day, so even if you prefer questing, do at least 1 rdf so you get that extra xp.
Also, on northrend rdf you get eots from the first dungeon of the day, so it's good getting some starting emblems for when you get 80.
I find it faster to do RDF especially if you're tank or healer, queue are instant lots of times for those, for DPS it can take up to 1 hour.

There are points where an rdf can get you more exp per hour than questing would do.
Example1) doing SM over questing in STV. The instances are short and give loot for multiple roles.
2) Maradon: purple is short and to the point and can get you to...
3) BRD prison spamthis will very quickly propel you from 47 to 56 in no time.
The key is to then find quests to do between these points to level as quick as possible.

If u are tank or heal faster lvl in rdf 15-60 after questing faster coz rdf give low xp
