People are split because it's not mandatory, as DKs have other cleave threat tools. That said, it can still be good for a little bit of extra cleave threat and tank dps if you feel you need the extra threat or just want more dps. The concern, though, is that it is a talent point you can invest elsewhere.
It's a buffed up Blood Strike with cleave for 1 talent point and you're not giving up anything important to get it. Since Blood Strike is one of the few abilities that you can use without hurting your Death Strikes, it's beneficial for keeping up threat lead after initial Icy Touch spam so you can Death Strike longer before you have to Icy Touch again. The cleave gives you a little bit of extra flexibility with multi target threat as well. You can skip it and get another talent in the frost tree but nothing you can get for 1 talent point there is going to have the same impact.Quote:
