Appearance: Shoulder length black hair, straight as rain on a day without wind frames a face of indeterminate age. Ethanaiel is currently clean shaved and his face indicates wisdom that comes with hard experience, but times of laughter, too. His broad shoulders and armored frame indicate an easy grace, but there is something in the way his hand hovers near the hammer at his belt that indicates a general lack of trust of the world about him.

Personality: Ethaniel is friendly enough, but wary. He is fiercely loyal, but has great difficulty making friends or entering into new relationships, especially with females. His formality and extreme politeness hide his insecurity with the fairer sex. Ethaniel is a protector, defender, and provider. Though he can and will lead when it is required of him, he prefers to support those in need, whether it be adventuring or simply keeping up a shop. He has been known to take long breaks from life on the road to help build a home or a barn for a local. It is in his heart to help where help is needed, and to stand between danger and the innocent at every opportunity.

Flaws: Shy and overly formal around human, dwarven, and especially elfin women. Borderline compulsory aggression against undead and demons. Tends to prefer support roles to leadership, but becomes impatient with those who think differently when he is required to lead. Has some major secret he refuses to tell about his past and it hinders his relationships because he won't open up about it to even his closest friends.

Background: Little is known about Ethaniel and he says nothing about his past other than that he worked in Stormwind for a while before traveling abroad. There is something about a woman in his past that evokes a look of pain when its inadvertently brought up. Only the closest of friends know anything deeper than this. At the very best, Ethaniel is known for being reliable, and a staunch defender of the Alliance. The only thing well known about him at all is his deep, abiding hatred of demons and the undead, a hatred that is rooted in something other than the last few decades of history in Azeroth.
