Is there PvP on rag?

I'm really wanting some PvP, but I'm kinda wanting to work for my gear (thought I'm sure I'd just get roflstomped by p2w players).. I /who'd every bg and onlyh saw 4 people in strand of the ancients.. Is this for real? 2.7k people online and none in wsg? O_O
