Where are macros stored?

I moved the game files to my laptop, but when I logged in I saw that my macros were not there. My macros are still there when I get on my desktop so I was wondering if I could transfer my macros to my other computer or are they stored on the server?

I believe macros are saved in

\WTF\Account\ACCOUNTNAME\macros-cache.txt

for general ones, and

\WTF\Account\ACCOUNTNAME\Realm\CharacterName\macros-cache.txt

for char specific ones

it may be worth also copying over macros-cache.old just in case

Yeah I dont have an Accountname Folder. I also put the game client in my program files folder so maybe it can't create any folders because it doesn't have admin rights?

first, be sure WoW folder on your laptop does NOT have "read-only" enabled.
1) Move WoW away from your "program files folder"
2) Restart your Laptop
3) now right click on WoW folder> Properties> remove "read-only"

then:
1) Delete the WTF folder which is on your "Laptop WoW" and place there the "WTF" folder copied from your "Desktop WoW"

I found the local files now. It was under C: Users > User name > Appdata > Local > Virtual Store > Program files x86 > Wow

I guess it saved there if you dont give wow permission to save to its local folder. I copied the folders over to the main wow folder and everything seems to be restored.
