Horde or Alliance for PvP? (NEW PLAYER)

I was going to make a toon on IC, but the queue time and P2W put me off big time, so I'm coming to Lordaeron! I'm mainly interested in PvP. Which side is better for arenas/bg's? Also, how active is PvP in general?
