I have just taken the quest Deep Cover and the NPC Taskmaster Fizzule is hostile. I have tried to use the Flare Gun but to no avail. What am I doing wrong, since I don't see any post like this one?

did you use the flare gun twice right? and then you should approach him and type /salute while targeting him
Did you try /Salute ? it is not /salute btw. "S"
