Question about the spell "Death Gate"

Back on retail Wrath, when you used Death Gate, it would take you to the Ebon Hold.. (No brainer)

My thing is when you used it again inside the Ebon Hold back on retail, it would take you back to where you originally cast Death Gate

For example: Questing in Outland and you gain a few levels and would use Death Gate to go train, then after buying skills you'd use Death Gate again, and boom back in Outland just like that..

Or was that added later in the game?
If not, will they implement that feature of Death Gate?

Currently, this is not a thing on the Icecrown/Lordean servers.

This feature was in the game at some point, but i don't remember exactly when, tho I'd personally like this feature on the servers, and it in my mind makes a lot of sense..

Patch 5.4.0 (10-Sep-2013) Death Gate now returns the Death Knight to a location near their original departure point when the spell is cast while in Ebon Hold
