Survival of the Fittest or Survival of the Fit-Enough?

Last night there was a casual Bane run and i wanted to try something out of curiosity. Tried to tank bosses as a bear-dps (tanking as a feral dps-specced bear without tanking gear) but there was a problem. Truth to be told i didnt notice until Festergut. I got crit hit (35k) and died. So.. Is there a problem with talent called Survival of the Fittest? Or maybe something else that i am missing?

According to Raenels Guide, this should not happen:
"Defense cap is the immunity to being critically hit by Bosses. As a druid, speccing into Survival of the Fittest (Reduces chance to be critically hit by 6%) will grant you immunity to crits from all PvE content in the game."

If you are sure that you had 3/3 Survival of the Fittest at this run, you should submit a bug-report.

I would add the Survival of the fittest doesn't seem to grant the additional armor. Other effects function normally, but the armor is not increased. If anyone else could confirm this, we will submit a bug report.

Were you in cat form during these crits? In Bear form you should not be getting critted or 1 hit ko'd even with DPS jewellery/trinkets equipped.

@Raenel I was in full DPS gear and Bear form. With some resil enchants so i can cover up those crit hits.

This is from few days ago. You can clearly see "[21:59:04.573] Professor Putricide crits Nibification *0* (O: 73820) (more)" line on Death logs.
Also feel free to check my gear/talents/stats/Logs. There is something fishy related to Survival of the Fittest.

Only explanation I can make is that you were not facing the boss momentarily.

Check your macros. Do you by chance have any line that might cause your char to attempt to /sit? The first melee hit taken after being seated will always be a crit.

Are you the only bear that you've seen this happening with?

It is a bit impossible for me to use my keybind in fights, even by mistake, because it is bound to f9 and there is no macro that i am using for /sit.

Sadly i dont know a lot of feral tanks which also have feral dps gear. So it is a bit hard for me to say anything about it but as far as i can see from bugtracker @Shizel also have same problem.

I would question same thing but this is only happening on my druid and not on my DK/Pala/Warrior.
