May I get the link to thread where staff changes their mind about mixing alliance and horde players? Recently started playing on BR and was unpleasantly surprised. x.x The thread that I remember, where they only gathered feedback about the idea only, said quite strictly that they will not be mixing factions, ally vs ally only.Quote:

In any case, mercenary mode is a disaster, and the staff have to ask themselves why, after so many years, everybody has decided to go alliance. I know people like to blame emfh but the old Lordaeron had a very, very healthy pvp scene with even lower population.
Month has passed, staff does not care.
So deal with this garbage mode same as you deal with multiboxing.
Yep, BGs scenario became x100 times worse.
Icecrown vs blackrock is what we have all the time (: yeppie yay!!
Warmane wants to hide the terrible consequences that these changes have had for the PvP of the Horde.
They have already deleted a post in which I exposed some reasons why this union of Blackrock-Icecrown and the mercenary mode have massacred the state of PvP in the Horde:
- Entire BGs of Blackrock 5.5k hordes against full BIS alliance premades.
- Massive change of players (even entire full guilds) to the alliance.
- The rest of the PvP guilds (couple remaining) continue dying/afking.
- Huge decrease in the number and quality of horde premades.
- Ridiculous massacres and farming-graveyard simulators towards horde in BGs of 40 players.
- Destruction of the symbol "BG horde-hero". Now, if you want to farm hkills, you have to be alliance.
- Impotence feelings from most part of the horde side.
- Longer queues for the horde-BGs (everyone confirms this).
- Healthy arena community on ally side, Horde is a desert.
- ETC, ETC
In some way I understand them, reversing these changes would not be an easy task and it far easier to accept that 33% of the PvP population must die just for the other 66% stays on a heaven-"healthier" status. Alliance complaining because they have to wait 5-10 minutes to enter a battlefield... nonono, INTOLERABLE. We better destroy the only advantage that existed to keep doing PvP on Horde side. It is sad to see so many friends have left the server just for this...
In short, it is not that we can do anything.
Well its even worse now because its pretty much Icecrown vs BR .. horde pvp at Icecrown is completely dead ... whole guilds are moving to alli .. wpvp is about to die also cuz no hordes on the map .. the realm is splited hard between pve and pvp now .. Aliance is the PVP part .. Horde is the PVE part .. Also alli ques are super long again becouse hordes dont que bgs and Blackrock players are sick of being farmed .. BG's , Wpvp are going down and thats sad.
I really dont know what did you expect...
Its natural for people that want easyer/better time in both PvE and PvP to chose the faction that has better racials for those things.
If you want to max DPS in PvE, would you go for Orc or Dwarf?
If you want to max burst DMG and increase the potential for a kill window, would you go for Human or Undead?
Bottom line is that, this is an OOOOLD patch.
Its been here for years, and the tides will eventually go to one of the two sides (the better one) for both PvE and PvP.
There is nothing that can be done on a Blizzlike server.
If you want to PvP and have better options, you go Human.
If you want to PvE and have better overall dps, you go Orc.
*This is mainly from a DK point of view, but i think you get the point*
The only thing that can do something would be to give players opportunity to chose racials, like chose between (Human / Orc):
Every man for himself / Blood Fury
Perception / Hardiness
Sword specialisation / Axe specialisation
and end up with a race that has amount of active/passive racials, and the look you want.
An Undead with EMFH, Perception and Axe specialisation for example...
*You would have a choice between all of the passive and active racials across all races, but this was just an example*
Fun Fact, no matter how this might seem as a good or bad idea, it will NEVER happen on a BLIZZLIKE server.
And i personally dont think anything else, from both restrictions on one side, or new BG system or whatever that does not affect the "blizzlike playstyle" will help.
Why didn't you make just a temp Ally>Horde free transfer? It'd help already and we wouldn't have this big indignation wave due to this non-sense.
as u can see here https://www.warmane.com/information the population balance is pretty much 50/50, with the less than 200ppl in favor for alliance from blackrock in peak hours. warmane only do free transfers when the populatin difference is a lot more bigger like 30/70, i remember when they enable it for free on Outland hordes was more with more than 1500 ppl online during the peak hours (from 8-10k population total)Quote:

Yeah but that's the population overall, for PvP it's like 80-20, but I guess that's on staffs' hands if it's a reason for temp free transfers. It'd help their main problem (big queues)...Quote:
