Name cleanup - Frostmourne

Greetings Frostmourne community,

We will be doing a name cleanup on August 3, 2020 at 14:00 server time.

The cleanup will entail erasing names that were never used or logged into since their creation in the period of the first seven days after the Frostmourne launch. We aim to do this in order to free up the character names that were not intended to be used. This cleanup will have an effect on accounts that are active, but have level 1 characters that they have never used.

We hope that this will provide to players, both old and new, a new source of inspiration for their new characters.

Possible cleanup on Icecrown at the same time? so people can secure the name possibly for when it gets transfered?

They already did Icecrown's yearly cleanup of names.

Need clarification
Cleanup will only effects chars level 1? Also, what if character was created in those 7 days and wasn't used untill 20 days later?

Can someone explain me how people make chars with 2 letter names?

First they press 2 the letters they want as name, then they hit enter. Done.
