Cant connect to Frostwolf

I started on Frostwolf today and got in about 2 hours of gametime with mo issues that i saw, but when i tried to take a ride from westfall to goldshire at lvl 20 my game crashed as soon as i took off. When i tried to log back in i got stuck on the "connecting" stage, and after about a minute i get a message that says "please convert your account to a blizzard.net account". I remember getting this message back in panda when i had to convert my account for the B.net launcher, but im not sure why its asking me to do it on this server. I think my client is trying to connect to blizzard for some reason. I've tried logging into the Outland server and i had no problems, so i think its client specific. It would really be a bummer if i cant play the server at all anymore as i got it to play with a buddy of mine.
