I've read of this happening in battlegrounds as well recently, I think in the bug tracker.

I have noticed more latency, from around 35 ms to around 50 ms for the last 10 days or so, but I was blaming my ISP.

As Incognitous said, in 3.0 they moved Naxxramas from EPL to Dragonblight and tuned it to wotlk values, so no, it can not be soloed (and I don't know how many bis players you would need to beat it)
