In s4 there were those ratings that I mentioned, and s3 gear when s4 was on, was at 1850 weapons etc. Thanks though, couldn't recall that s1 had no gear requirements.

As the title suggests, you can buy the gear merely with arena points no matter what your arena team and personal rating is. Weapons should be at 2050, Shoulders 2200, Head 1700, Chest 1600, Pants...
