Well i hope as well that we should not have to reload UI. But i clearly don't have high expectation as 99.99% bug free realm as well. because no private realm is so. it takes a huge huge time for...
This is a common glitch ! the solution is REALOD UI via '/reload' command or Summon your pet again.
