I currently play on Lorderon and when I do RDF Heroics there I get saved to the instance. I am wondering if it is the same with the Icecrown server.
Doing RFD for Heroics does save you to the instance. I am pretty sure this is expected behavior. I think it was at a later expansion they removed it.
