I've seen more than one person showing it off in Dalaran on different occasions, so whether it's bugged or not, it's definitely possible to get it.
How do I get rid of these clues from my inventory if I don't want to finish the scavenger hunt? They can't be destroyed...
Yes, once it ends, it will be reset, and everyone will be starting to new characters working towards doing Naxx 10/25. Old characters will be sent to Icecrown
