Horde Leveling Guide 1-80
Hey guys, Gio here once again with a leveling guide. Today I'll be explaining the best areas to level for the horde. I know I said I was going to write one a while ago, but the thing is I actually had to experiment with a horde character before being able to write this guide. Now that that's out of the way, let's get to the rules!!
1. Vote twice a day, save your points, never spend em on "no lvl req. leveling items."
2. Once you hit the level the guide tells you to get to in a certain zone, drop all your quests there and move on.
3.Go to the trainer at the following levels: 6, 10, 15, 25, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80.
4. Be sure to run at all times, killing everything that holds experience. On your way to a quest location? Run there, killing all in your path! No mercy!
5. Download the addon Quest Helper or Carbonite, they put arrows on your screen pointing you to the location where all quest items/npcs are.
6. Don't kill any Alliance or I WILL FIND YOU!
7. Don't follow rule #6, it was a joke.
If you follow those rules, leveling to 80 should be easy! Now time for the guide!
All starting areas provide enough quests to go from level 1-10.
Trolls & Orcs: Durotar
Undead: Trisfal Glades
Blood Elves: Eversong Woods
On my alliance guide, I told everyone to go to Westfall at level 10, seeing as how the trip there isn't to time consuming. Since the horde are more spread out I will send each race to a specific location.
Trolls & Orcs: The Barrens
Undead: Silverpine Forest
Tauren: The Barrens
Blood Elves: Ghostlands
Now here there are 2 options. You can either head to Stonetalon Mountains or you can make your way to Ashenvale Forest. Both will provide quick leveling. If you seem to have trouble finding quests after level 25, you can always head to Thousand Needles like I did.
Here the questing spots are plentiful! Head to any one of these areas. Choose any of them.
Arathi Highlands: Some quests, great xp, get from 30-35 here easily, maybe higher if you look for the quests. If you can't make it to 40, move on to one of the other locations.
Desolace: Great spot for some quick quests. Getting from 30-40 here is difficult so I would recommend going to one of the other listed areas at 35.
Alterac Mountains: There are few quests scattered around this map. Enough for 3-5 levels. Go here if you want to level in peace, as no one comes here.
Stranglethorn Vale: Alliance dread STV. It should be horde territory. On my Alliance guide I don't recommend coming here, but on this horde guide, go for it! Get from 30-40 with no problem at all.(Unless you're on frostwolf, according to a few players ally gank stv on frostwolf.)
There are 3 areas that I recommend for leveling at this point. All 3 are quick and easy. It's just a choice of preference.
Hinterlands: Quick easy quests. No distractions here. Maybe an Ally or 2 but nothing to push you away from leveling here.
Feralas: Leveling here is easy. If you can't find a spot to quest just head to one of the other areas.
Tanaris: Once again, a spot that Alliance players avoid, way to many horde for us. Enjoy the free honor while you're here! :D
Now before you start questing here I want you to head to Azshara and get This Quest. Run and get the tablets then return to the girl that gave the quest. She will give you 4 more quests, You must talk to an NPC in Thunderbluff, Orgrimmar, Undercity and One just north of her in Azshara, to get to the Archmage just talk to the guy at coordinates 28,50 and he will teleport you to the top of the mountain where the Archmage is hidden. After delivering everything to these people they will tell you to go back to the girl, this quest gives a ton of xp, and if you dont get to level 50 from this head to Searing Gorge.
This is where questing gets annoying! But just go to any of these areas and you'll get there.
Burning Steppes: Easy quests. Usually some alliance to fight. I didn't quest here just because of the competition. Not as much as Winterspring, but still...
Western Plaguelands: I didn't see anyone else here, questing was a breeze. No one got in my way.
Winterspring: Tons of competition here. I recommend doing as much as you can in the other areas before heading here.
Let's go ahead and hit up Outlands now. Hellfire Peninsula is the place to be. Tons of easy quests. Enjoy the easy leveling here. There might be a few Alliance players running around. Kill them or avoid them, it's all up to you.
First off, get a level 70+ friend to help you out with The Ring of Blood quest. It should get you 2 or 3 levels then just quest in Zangarmarsh or Nagrand to 70. You might wanna go to your trainer once you hit level 70.
Time for some Northrend! If you don't know how to get there refer to the bottom of this guide. Head to Borean Tundra and get EVERY QUEST! Leveling here is annoying because of all the competition. Just focus on the quests and you'll do fine!
Head to Dalaran and get Coldweather Flying. Once you have that fly down to Sholazar Basin for some quick leveling. The competition here might slow you down but don't get discouraged! Just keep it up! Only 3 levels to go!
Congratulation, you are now Level 80! Pretty easy right? Now time to get geared! Good luck and have fun! Thanks for reading. Adios :D
HOW TO GET TO NORTHREND
Head to Orgrimmar and run to the front, looking out in front of Orgrimmar look to the right, you should see a zeppelin tower. Head over there. Make sure you talk to the Goblins in front of the zeppelin dock to make sure it is the Borean Tundra zeppelin and not the Thunderbluff one.
P.S. Guys I do realize there is already a leveling guide for horde characters, that guide is for leveling as well as training skills to get good gold. It is a good guide but I'm writing this one for just a straight to-the-point leveling guide. My guide gets straight to it, I'm not here to tell you how to get a ton of gold. After finishing all the quest on this guide you'll end up with around 5k gold, use it wisely. Thanks for reading!
Horde lvling guide 1-80
I suggest some improvements in the guide:
1-10 Stay in your start zone. The first 7-8 quests are too easy and lvl you up to 10 for no time (25-30 minutes)
11-20 Use server teleporter - head to Ogrimmar. Follow the path to Razor hill. Take the barrens quest and go to Barrens. There grind 20-30 mobs to lvl 18. After that go down to camp Taurajio and complete ''Lost in battle'' + Blood shard quest ( no idea of the name) Ding! You are 20 lvl.
21-30 Take the quest to head to Ashenvale. There go take torsek assault (2-3 lvls up from the mobs and the complete). After that go for the satyr horns - 4 lvls out of it normally. After that get the legion must fall quests for the demons 6/6/6 :D complete em and voila 30.
31-40 I ussually port to Undercity and go for Tarren mills quests - most fast 4-5 quests (Humbert's sword, yeti stick, some ogres). From there lvl till 40 (1-2 hours max)
41-50 Muddsprocket and the other horde capitolia there (port to Ogrimmar via server teleporter) 6-7 easy quests and voila 50.
51-60 HINTERLANDS - easiest quests in the whole game :D 1-2 hours and you are done ( i recommend take all and complete all)
60-62 Blasted - The fallen hero quest with Swamp Talker and Kirith
63-70 Outland - Thrallmar 5-6 quest, next Falcon watch 4-5 quests, after that colossus and the Goliath ending quest (Voila 68). After that i ussally go for ''What's wrong in the cenarion circle'' and the Auchrindon scryers quests to lvl up to 70.
70-80 Northrand - Borean to 72 in Warsong, after to 75 quests in the Taunka'le village - after that to 76 Bor'gorrok outpost and 77-80 GRIZZLY (15 easiest quests - like Ursoc 700 k free exp :D )
Hope i have been usefull - with this quest rotation i lvl-ed my horde rogue for 6hours and 45 minutes game play in combat spec and 31vp for lvl gear + 300 gold to lvl 61 from friend. If you find the guide usefull enjoy :)
@50-54, visit the Fallen Hero (on roadside @ border of Dustwallow/Blasted Lands)
Start the large quest line that runs through azshara; each segment's quest xp is a level for the most part.
Good for an amazingly fast 5-6 levels. (<45m)
1 - 10 starter area
10 - 29 gosthland (no matter your race)
29 - 36 ashenvale
37 - 49 dustwallow marsh
49 - 55 felwood
56 - 59 un goro crater
59 - 67 hellfire
68 - 69 bladeedge mountains
70 - 75 borean tundra
75 - 77 dragonblight
77 - 80 grizzly hills
If you don't get to 80 in grizzly hills just go to k3 in storm peaks easy questing there although you may get some pvp, but as i see it that's a good thing :)
Just a heads up. On Frostwolf this is about as wrong as it can be. In the last 3 days that i visited STV for a total of 10 times if i remeber correctly, it is absolutely Full of allys, and by allys i mean loads of lvl 80's just camping the Grom gol Base camp and killing everything in sight. Booty bay also seems to be pretty much off limits for hordies.
Nice guide in overall.
But again, just a heads up for hordies on Frostwolf thinking about lvling there. I wouldnt recommend it. Unless you have a decent enough guild to back you up a bit.
I have to admit that the leveling ranges from Leona where to level up are alot better for horde as it avoids from being involved in PvP and it's alot nicer then to level up, because then you don't have to run back and forth if you died. ;)
For x20(only)these are the best locations to make quests:
1-16-your start location
28-32-The Barrens(are some good quests at down of the map after Camp Taurajo)
32-40-Hillsbrand Foothils(here some quests must be completed in Alterac Mountains)
40-43-Alterac Mountains(search and low lvl quests here)
43-50-Badlands(here you will not find any ally here)
At lvl 55 take the quest with tablets from Azshara(look at start of the guide)
If you don't make lvl 60 take this quest:http://www.openwow.com/?quest=4300/bone-bladed-weapons!
The Npc which give this quest is in tower where is the alchemy trainer too but up!
75-80-Grizzly Hills(i recommed you to go at venture bay, make some quests which give venture coins and after buy from http://www.openwow.com/?npc=27730 some items like libram, idol, totem, wand for lvl 80)!
This is actually pretty helpful. Thanks!
mporei kapoios na mou pei poso kostizei to donate gia set kai weapon???
is there an alternative to gadgetzan
The Arathi Basin quests become auto complete for 42,900 xp at level 36 or at least they do behind Hammerfal in Arathi Highlands(on Frostwolf) which is an easy two levels.
quick question bout carbonite....i downloaded it, put it in my add ons folder, i looked int he add ons section of my character selection screen...and it says taht its out of date?? but...i downloaded the most recent one i believe?
wow you differ so much from me! Hope you don't mind me adding some of my own experiences.. i've leveled 5 horde's to 80 by nown, 2 undead, troll, 2 tauren.. here's just a taste of what I would do.
at around lvl 34-36 definitely go to dustwallow marsh (you haven't even listed it, wow!) I love all of the quests there and I lvl for about 2 hours there until i'm lvl 45-48, I then head directly to un'goro crater where I stay till 55 and then go to blasted lands to the fallen hero of the horde till 58.
In outland I've never seen anything other than Hellfire on this server. I pick up every single quest I find and just do them as fast as i can. two or maybe 3 hours and i'm lvl 68 and go to northrend. Never have I been outside howling fjord until 75 or 76... I just jump to dragonblight after that until 79 and then go to k3 to do that quest chain with those ice female vikings above k3... I love that chain. that's about it!
DWM would be best to do around 38-40 since the majority of quests are for level 36-41 but you are right it is a great place to level. You don't want to do Un'goro until around 50 at the earliest, preferably 52-55 so the mobs are yellow and easy to kill, you should do it last since you can hit 58 here and head straight to Outland.
HFP & Nagrand are the only zones I do in Outland. I then complete Borean Tundra and Howling Fjord the most I can and continue every other zone at 80 for gold and reputation. Both of our methods work just fine, I just do it a little differently :)
