How to gear up?

Hello
Just hit 80 and I have terrible gear. Tried some BGs but only made 40k honor in one day.
My gear is greens for level 73-78 from quests only.


No idea how to get gear in this phase and without RDF.
What is the badge system like? What should I do to get better gear for heroics?
PvP is annoying with 12k hp.

Buy or get mats. Ask for someone with a profession relevant to what you need and then get gear that way.

If you are into pvp this is especially benefiting since most professions at the higher skills can create mail, plate, cloth, etc.. PvP sets.

Otherwise create a group and write lfm in global.
