1. Lordaeron Realm Information

    Below are the designed, expected and suggested and future Lordaeron features and are not final. This topic will serve as the primary information page for Lordaeron until a dedicated realm page is added to the information page.

    DESIGN FEATURES
    Realm name: Lordaeron (Public Test Realm)
    Expansion: Wrath of the Lich King 3.3.5a
    Release date: September 25, 2015
    Rates: 1
    Dungeon Finder enabled
    Raid Difficulty enhanced with increased damage and health pools based on community progress
    Emblems of Heroism from dungeons during Naxxramas content
    Emblems of Heroism from dungeons during Ulduar content
    Emblems of Conquest from dungeons during Trial of the Crusader content
    Emblems of Triumph from dungeons during Icecrown Citadel & Ruby Sanctum content
    Anti-cheat: Enhanced Sentinel detection
    Armory PvP and PvE ladder
    No point store
    Limited coin store:
    - No character level boosts
    - No profession boosts
    - No realm transfer
    - No legendary items
    - Limitations to companion and mount availability
    - Item availability based on realm's progression
    - Items available will be 1 Tier below items obtainable in-game until all content is released in all modes
    - Must have a lower tier equipped before higher item can be obtained using coins
    - Item level requirement (i.e. must have Edge of Agony equipped before Fleshrender can be obtained using coins
    - Increased item coin costs
    Character naming policy (names such as ifakursis, lickmylala or ieaturazz being strictly forbidden)
    Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor release at launch
    Outland release 1 month after launch
    Northrend release 2 months after launch
    Death Knight release 2 months after launch



    REQUESTED SUGGESTIONS
    - Gold drain mechanics to maintain competitive Auction House prices and a healthy realm economy in the long-term
    - Simple, minimal but effective ways to maintain long-term activity, population and world PvP in Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor.

    Features that may or may not make it into the release.

    - Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor release at launch
    - Outland release 1 month after launch
    - Northrend release 2 months after launch
    - Death Knight release 2 months after launch

    Anyway why portal in Ironforge (I like it) but on horde Orgrimmar? Why not any other city?

    Those restrictions for items-is it only for coins users???

  3. Erm Dungeon finder shouldn't be disabled because it's a good way to obtain emblems for gear. Faction change and race change can have some sort of cooldown, like 3-6 months cooldown etc.


  4. Wow I like the steady release of each zone. Make it feel like it's a new expac being released, hope this makes its, will definitely go there ^.^

    Make so you need to have "The Fall of Naxxramas (25 player)" before you can enter Ulduar 25/10 man, "The Fall of Naxxramas (10 player)" before you can enter Ulduar 10 man and so one. So you move from tier to tier.

    So all raids/dungeons get a purpose to do and not go for end raids/dungeons once they are released.

    Good idea but if the raids get created perfectly I doubt you called even progress Ulduar without having s lot of Nax gear

  7. Suggestion for Gold Sink:

    Start a raffle system where players can buy tickets for gold then raffle off vanity pets , mounts, and tabards. They don't even have to be super rare or anything.

  9. On the topic of bettering the odds of world pvp

    it has been spoken of, for example, a chest that spawns- and again, for example, say in tarren mills.... 15mins before the chest will spawn there would be a realm announcement> which ofc would make people everywhere drop what their doing to swarm to this 'chest of goods' > whats inside?? coins, 100gold !! who knows :) but thats a whole nother topic.

    all in all an excellent idea and a surefire way to induce pvp daily...who wouldnt want some freebies on such a hardworking realm?

    another idea (im not at all knowledgable of scripting- tho im thnking if we can make a chest spawn, than the following shouldnt be too far fetched)
    --along the same idea as the quests (off the top of my head) in ashenvale, and stranglethorn vale> where you collect pages for the books - OR - like we collect cards for a deck- which when complete gives you something> (so im using 'decks' as exmpl in the following..it could be pages..objects whtevr)
    why not make an one area in kalmidor, and an area in ekingdoms, where certain npcs drop peices of a 'deck' - and upon completion those '4' (exmpl) pieces net you a redeemable prize > of course the drop rates will be LOW
    Idea being that rather than once a day (or however the 'chest' will work) both factions would in theory be looking to farm these 'peices' constantly (i.e. most people will make a stop here and there at some point throughout their travels) in hopes of completing their 'deck' - again you shouldnt easily be able to complete this task, only the resolute shall be rewarded.



    - an OFFSHOOT of this would be to put these drops you need in the opposite factions area - and /OR make the prize even juicier if you can manage to collect the 'other factions' deck. In this idea there would be 2 separate decks- both HARD to get- the opposite faction 'deck' just gives a little better prize.

    Ulduar, known to be the most challenging instance to script completely, will be our raid development's focus in the upcoming days.

  11. I don't get it. ICC and RS well-known bugs are still around the their focus were quests and now Ulduar? Confusing.

  12. This devlog is the best. Hope Icecrown and Storm Peaks quests will be also scripted and all achiv hunters will be happy.

    - Chest spawn in Eastern Kingdoms containing a token that can be redeemed for coins on the website

    REQUESTED SUGGESTIONS
    - Gold drain mechanics to maintain competitive Auction House prices and a healthy realm economy in the long-term
    - Simple, minimal but effective ways to maintain long-term activity, population and world PvP in Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor
    - Increased item coin costs > make it like x3 or x2(minimum) more than what it used to be ! With all the news about Lord realm im loving it more and more every day. I will probably stop playin mop just for this realm experience.

    THIS IS AWESOME ! IMPLEMENT !! tho I would increase length of it
    Dungeon Finder disabled> should be enabled after like 2months OR when u script ALL dungs from lvl 15 to 80.
    Same with Battlegrounds > if there will be enough ppl playin doin low lvl bgs will be awesome. Tho If u fix bgs like with dung thing.

    - No name change
    - No race change
    - No faction change > should be possible cause its blizzlike (all three)should be able to change tho with vote points only. 300 VP each with 6month CD.

  14. Kaer, what about Alterac Valley bg? You know that its not scripted as it should. Can we expect to be scripted one day cuz if you can script pve raids you can do this too, right?
