So the new 5.4.8 download is out already, but i've been wondering: When it is released, will things like keybinds, interface options, and system options be the same? Or will we have to configure them again?

You should just download 5.4.8 client now, so you can just play after update. And no, you can not use 5.4.8 client until update.
