Technical [WotLK] 21:9 aspect ratio support?

Greetings,

I'm debating an early Christmas present to myself this year in the form of a 21:9 3440x1440 monitor. A big concern for me, though, would be if the Wrath of the Lich King client, or any WoW client up to MoP, has native support for this aspect ratio. This alone may easily sway my opinion for or against this monitor.

If anybody has an experience or could shed any light on the subject I would be very appreciative.

So I haven't really gotten an answer despite my best efforts asking Trade channel and my guild. From what I can gather, though, is that if the video card supports the monitor, then the WoW client should also pick up on it and allow for 21:9 support.

If anybody can confirm that would be very helpful.
