Even though this affects me negatively, I still think this is a good idea because it helps new players who cannot otherwise afford the inflated prices. Try to see the bigger picture, and not just how it personally affects you.

communism
/ˈkɒmjʊnɪz(ə)m/noun
a theory or system of social organization in which all property is owned by the community and each person contributes and receives according to their ability and needs.
synonyms: collectivism, state ownership, socialism, radical socialism;
It worked.
It never really worked in practice. I'll take it you're either too young or didn't live in a country governed by a communist party to know.
Poor brainwashed bastard. I live in post-soviet country, it's pretty fresh how it "worked".
So I know the answer for my question, it's nr 1.
I guess he ain't stupid, neither evil. You are just an ignorant that doesn't comprehend what does inflation do onto the economy and how unstable prices are whenever they are modified by inflation values. Learn about economy and then talk or just keep your mouth shut because you have no clue and you as many other people are misspreading wrong information.
Funnily, so do I. It's also funny how our post-communism countries are now gone to **** and the older generations say how they had it better while they now struggle to survive. You know, even if we don't call it communism - call it basic mathematics.. A second grader's riddle.
Jimmy has 0,5 dollars.
Tonny has 2 dollars.
A bread costs 1 dollar.
If you take half of what they both have and split it equally among them (1,25 divided by 2 is 0,62333 dollars), will they both be able to afford the bread? The answer is --- hell yeah! And the price of bread wouldn't rise because everybody would have the same accessibility to it. Okay sure it might A LITTLE, but by no means by 300%.
And to the previous intellectual that said: "well that way nobody would do anything for gold and wait for their yearly gold". I got two points.. First, this isn't gold farming simulator; this is World of Warcraft, a game where farming and gathering gold is just a fraction of - the people who play this game just to accumulate large amounts of gold are a low and I'd dare say, sad percentage. Second, if EVERYBODY just sat around and wait for free gold, then nobody would get any free gold.
Grats, you got to the point. So Jimmy would still have only 0.5(or less dollars, because Tonny will find where he can express his talents and reap rewards or Jimmy wpuld have sent him to Siberia, jail or gulags because Tonny is smart and only way to take his 2 dollars is force.
Too all of you complainers about the gold squish, you are free to leave the server no one is forcing you to play on this FREE server, go play retail you angry people.
A healthier step towards fixing this mess we call server economy would be...dunno..maybe stop selling gold for coins?
you do realize that all gold sold for coins is farmed by people ingame right?
and that even before the marketplace allowed you to sell gold for coins people were doing it through paypal or some other means. it's not like the gold is magically being generated out of thin air.
yes please , spent like 18 coins on gold defently could use 9 coins back ....
I'm an new player an collecting gold for my flying competence it need 6000 golds and now you told me you gonna half all my money how can this be healthly for the economy. It gonna instead giving me a bad experience for this server
As if farming 6k gold would be so hard, you can level up herbalism and gather herbs for 2 hours on Sholazar Basin and you will get those 6k.
I almost quit last time they did this... all my friends did, but I kept playing. I don't think I'll keep playing after this. I just hate having to think about earning more money all the time. I just want to make my money once then play the game.
Oh well. It was fun while it lasted.
so hows that working out in russia? xD
