Is there any way to disable that crap without turning music off in general ?
Some random loser finally got it and now i'am listening that tormented highborn yelping every second battleground.
Saddest part is, if this crap has been spawned, you will hear it on the opposite side of the battleground.

Someone really plays wow with sound in 2018?

Profile picture fits this so well

Solution is to replace with a different mpq file.
For example, this fits: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBLdQ1a4-JI

Just two facts:
1. it's sound effect, not music.
2. You are clueless, as usual.

1. i know what it is, but it should count as music so I can mute it.
2. you just called a sound file an mpq file, it's obviously not necessary to replace the whole archive but you suck at communicating. Glass houses.

You will never escape me. I'll keep it on cool down 24/7

You don't have to edit any mpq files, just create an empty file:
That's the way I've muted many annoying sounds (such as the stupid chopper, the goblin weather machine, etc)

Hey,
can anybody help me? I changed the file but it doesn't work for me. Still plays the same thing. Not sure from where tho!

Maybe it's somewhere else as well?
E: It's in 2 mpq files (expansion and patch.mpq). Now it works. Now I hear Wu-Tang instead ;)

Does this really bother you that you must disable it? Just relog fast.

disable dk voices
enable dk voices
= sound gone.

Why bother? A simple empty mp3 with the right name gets rids of this nuisance FOREVER.
Thanks for the solution guys

Sorry for the necropost. If I add an MP3 file in the directory rather than edit the original .MPQ file, does that MP3 file play? From my testing it seems to cancel the annoying song but doesn't actually play the contents of the MP3 file itself. Thanks.

Try rename your mp3 song with the same name as the file you removed.
