Server wide event Player morphs

no reward just for fun
Event Name: Couple O' Hats
Holiday: Winter Veil
Description: Because of boredom, I went back to check the previous years' worth of suggestions and noticed that people cried a lot about both last year's and the year before last year's winter holiday events regarding how they were structured or balanced. I participated in both and had a moderate amount of fun, not quite sharing the rage of the community but understanding it regardless. Anyways, my idea is as it follows.
[Server Message] Keristrasza is feeling festive!
As the server message strikes, all players rush towards the Nexus to witness the festivity of Keristrasza. All bosses of the dungeon are wearing a winter hat and pack a frosty reward! One emblem of frost for each boss with Keristrasza holding two and a chance of a rare item (1%?)! The rewards are only obtainable if the dungeon is completed on heroic difficulty for the sake of applying a lock and making it non-farmable.
This can be applied to both WotLK and BC dungeons as heroic difficulties of such provide a lock even after killing as much as the first boss. The dungeons should rotate every 90 minutes. For extra entertainment, you can place handicaps within the dungeons like randomly occurring freeze / root effects, mobs spawning, etc.
Perks of this event? Unexploitable, rewarding while still in moderation and fun!
[The relentless Scourge reach the Eastern Kingdoms, the Alliance was unaware of their sudden movements, you begin to see all the agriculture fall like leaf peddles onto the floor... The Great Famine begins and the Stormwind Plague emerges. ]
A recent outbreak of the Plague of Undeath in Stormwind City has resulted in dozens of civilian deaths and the entire Trade District being placed under heavy quarantine, bringing a familiar debate to the surface once more: Should Naxxination be mandatory?
Naxxination, the Light-based magical inoculation process developed from studying toxins found in Naxxramas, effectively renders the recipient completely immune to the virulent and highly contagious plague. In the decade since the Lich King's demise, worldwide Naxxination practices have all but eradicated the dreaded "undead curse" - until last week, that is.
For the first time in years, Stormwind witnessed an outbreak of one of the most dreaded diseases in all of Azeroth's history. How did this terrible pestilence, largely thought eliminated, find a foothold in what should be one of humanity's most protected, sanctified cities?
Mechanics:
Random player in Random main city of each faction every hour becomes Posessed by winter spirit.
Is morphed into big snow monster(think Ahune).
Gains Action bar as Abomination on PP with spells like Frostbolt Volley, Frost nova, Ice block, Blizzard, Summon Frost Elemental.
Posession lasts 25mins and ~40 man raid needs 15mins to defeat him(to avoid feeding, read rewards)
Possession is removed if player leaves the city(no rewards). Possessed player also could be stationary and ported to open area in city upon possession.
How it goes:
Possessed player starts to kill players in city and players group up to defeat him. Spells are strong enough to kill average players with 2 ticks of Blizzard+Frostbolt Volley. Reasonable.
Rewards:
Posessed player upon death receives 1 emblem for every player he kills(Random, Frost 25% roll, triumph 75% roll on each emblem). Every player within 100 yard radius of possessed player in moment of his death receives 5 emblem of frost and 15 emblem of triumph.
Comment:
Very interractive and fun.
Epic to become possessed, epic to fight it.
Can't be exploited due to tight duration of possession.
Just an quick question; No new post on site since november (7 days until X-mas?!), every day world server is down on a regular basis....Any of the staff members care to explain?
