Tips for new players! Welcome and enjoy your stay! :)

These are common inquiries in the forums that time and time again gets answered. Hopefully, this will alleviate the amount of common forum post.

    GANKING

Ganking on a PVP server has always been a thing even on retail, may it be corpse camping or just some guy passing by.
No one is safe. Not even your dog!!!!!!!!!!
    What you can do are:
    1. Use General chat or Global to ask for an 80 to help you.
    2. Find another area to level up and you can check here to find what areas are good to level with.
    3. Avoid Heavily ganking places. Ex: Stranglethorn Vale, Tanaris, Hellfire Peninsula, Zangarmarsh and so on (Please comment below if there are more ganking hotspot)
    4. If the guy keeps corpse camping you. You can either logoff or afk for 5-10 minutes, he'll eventually go away. EVENTUALLY
If you have some other tips please comment below.

    Multiboxing

Now this one might seem annying and unfair to some people but this is a legitimate. It's a controversial topic every since its been introduced in WoW and fighting one might be hard, however, it has weaknesses and you can try and look it up. :)

    Gold Scams

There are many types of Scammers, the most common are Trade Scam and Cod scam.

    Trade Scam

It's the most basics of basics. This usually happens of the person or you weren't paying attention to the trade box. They usually change the items so fast that you won't notice it and you better highlight the item first before accepting the trade. This also applies to gold as well, all they have to do is remove a single digit from the amount and TADAH. You lost a lot of gold (I was a victim of this as well).

    COD Scam

It is very sneaky if you're not paying attention or new, Cash on Delivery or COD are basically a mail with an item on it that you have to buy to actually get the item mailed. When you hover on the item, if you see a price or gold on the item, don't click it and return it. Once you do click it, your gold will be sent to the one who sent you the cod mail and the item will be in your inventory. These scames usually looks like this:

Happy Anniversary and this little bag of items is a gift from us! - Warmane Team

    Link Scam

Don't ever click on any website or link that some guy sent you. You gotta verify it first if you are unsure about it. Anything that looks fishy are a big nono! A wise man once said: "Don't trust people on the internet".

    GearScore

Usually, GS determines how good or how experienced a player is. The higher the numbers the better in the eyes of a pug leader. I did led pugging a year ago. I highly recommend joining a progressive guild so you don't have to pug and get your gear stolen by a hunter.
Also, you should read guides on how/where to gear your character.
You can easily get gears by Doing Heroic Dungeon Finder or Pit of Saron, Forge of Souls and Halls of Reflection (The heroic version of this will get you near 5kGS at the least) You can also buy yourself some nice ICC 264iLVL BoEs from the Market.
There are tons of guides here on this section in this link.

Any players must have these enchants:

    Head enchants

Magic DPS/Heal - Arcanum of Burning Mysteries- Int/Crit
    - Arcanum of Blissful Mending - Int/Spirit

Physical DPS - Arcanum of Torment

    Tank- Arcanum of Stalwart Protector

    Shoulder Enchant
Sons of Hodir - You gotta max your reputation with them up to Exalted. You can skip this by going inscription.

    Leg Enchants
Physical DPS - Icescale Leg Armor (LW)

Caster- Brilliant SpellThread - Spell Power/Spirit (Tailor).
Sapphire Spellthread - Spell Power/Stam (Tailor)

Tanks - Frosthide Leg Armor (LW)

Other enchants can be found on the guides I linked you above.

    Gold Farming

You can easily get gold from Profession.
The easiest way of farming gold during progression are Skinning/Mining as usually encounter nodes and beast along the way.

Transmog- This entails a lot of work and time. You gotta dedicate yourself in farming a specific item at a time and the chances of getting one per run is very low but you can still get it with enough time. You can check it out here.

Pugging - You can make a decent gold by pugging every week and this also entails having a LOT of patience and leadership. You need to set some bars in making one before you do make one and also, please learn the mechanics of all the bosses before you try and make a pug. (By making gold I mean getting a lot of BoE drops from the instance)

The easiest way of getting gold would be crafting BoE gears from profession as you'll get a lot of returns from doing so. There are alot of stuff to do before you are able to make one, however, it doesn't have the risk unlike I said above.

    Server Population
The player cap won't be increasing. This is due to how the server would react if there a lot more players in the server which is getting lag spikes, random disconnections and etc etc. We woudn't want that. Right? You can still skip it by donating $10 USD which is pretty cheap to be honest and it's a one-time purchase only. You'll also get coins from it as well that you can exchange to gold.

    Common Beliefs
People always think that if you kick someone off RDF you wont yield any Frost. Its not,
You don't receive any EoF when Re-queue for a new member when someone left/kicked.
    - Its been fixed.

    Pugging

Generally, pugging is a way for people who doesn't have the time needed for guild runs or guilds.
Pugging is like a coin toss. Don't expect any PUGs from going far since people who usually join pugs are usually inexperienced or bunch of cucks who likes to troll. Yes, there will be people who'll love to learn and get gears along the way but the number of trolls outweighs it. I highly suggest going for a progressive guild instead of pugging and PUG at YOUR OWN RISK.

Be nice to people you meet and also have fun :) If you able to, feel free to donate to help the team whos providing us this great game. These are the most common threads i see in this forum and If you have more tips to add please do.
If you have any questions/problems please comment below and i'll try to answer it.

I agree with everything you said. Older WoW like Vanilla, TBC, and WoTlk were all a lot more of a capitalist system where more people benefited by being able to take care of one's self, modern WoW is much more socialist where they shove gold down your throat for doing a few world quest. As Warmane doesn't have a Legion server one has to be prepared to really take care of them selves here. Basically be your own master. The one common thing I do find for free on this server and in-game is advice and new players and even novice players should be exploiting the crap out of all the free info there is out there.

The other thing I can stro fly suggest for player is and I know, BELIEVE ME, I know how easy it is to get caught in this rut of isolation where you log on and don't talk to a soul. This is bad. Real bad in an mmo. There are a lot of good people out there you just got to find them and keep them around as much as possible. Ask them questions, nug the crap out of them, it can come off as annoying but not nearly as annoying and degrading as begging for gold.

TL;DR learn to take care of your self and you'll prosper a lot better in this game than begging for handouts.

Yes, not talking to anyone can drain your enthusiasm real fast, like having sex for the first time fast.
You can either talk to people while doing rdf or just casually talking to people you meet in the world which is quite fun imho.
Dont let the gankers take your fun away. Have fun while youre playing this game! Dont nerd rage when someone kills you 40times :D

    Dropping another few tips.

1.) Do not mindlessly click on a link that is being posted on Global chat. It might look innocent like : www.facebook - , but what you didn't see is the other half of it, which probably goes like : http://www.facebook.ru/ez-key-logger...armane-account.

    JUST

    DON'T

    GO INTO ANY WEBSITES.

2.) Don't trust no-life REAL scammers who are posting "WTS X Coins for X $! Paypal, ez coins!". It is a scam that some people might easily fall into in a desperation for some cheap coins. No, it will not happen (at least on Global chat. *winkwink*). I wish I could link my video here, but I already got one infraction for posting it, so, yea.

Lol why you got an infr.. x.x video is yours and it was really cool..!

Originally it was because "the thread didn't follow the section rule".

I tried to reason that "I am just trying to spread the information and the forum is there for exactly that", but he continued that it has too many curse words (btw, 7) with the scammer's ID visible in the video. He said he would let the video be if I beep'd out/blur'd out all curse words and scammer's ID. I said whatever.

Their place, their rule. Not something I can argue against, honestly.

If 30 days have passed since you published the video & the player's name does not exist in the armory, share it by putting a link (without embedding it in the forum) - this should be fine by the forum rules...

Wouldn't the easiest way to not get scammed in those kinds of trades be to make them give first?

I also talked about this in my video; that these scammers NEVER go first.

But many people fall for their tricks and go first (send them money via Paypal first) in desperation for some coins. They lure you by saying "300 coins for 50 USD. Mi no scam" with some believable screenshots that one with no computer background knowledge wouldn't quite notice.

Also, trading coins outside of marketplace is already against ToS. I also talk about this in my video. (GM responded that "they will review the case" when there really isn't anything to review becaise the guy is spamming on global WTS X COINS FOR X USD in Global chat.)

Whatever. Don't make this thread get side-tracked.

#8: No Spamming -- Say something once and bump if you need to, but don't spam any message more than once (includes cross-posting). Necro-posting, derailing and other disruptions also fall under this rule. Reply -pictures for provoking someone are not allowed. If you have the urge to post reply-pictures, try the Spam & Game Central subforums. Infractions for this offense will not result in a ban right away, but the points do accumulate.
Your intentions might be good, but common sense is not worth spreading.

Well, at least i am trying. If this is not a bannable offence then i will do it.

There are people who lack of those things called "Common sense" so might as well give them some while i'm at it.

+ that.. I truly think it is even required :d Probably, it would be great if you add some additional things (ie weeklies reset on friday, so don't leave at a full raid..) If the troll from the zelda's vid is perma-banned already (or renamed), try to embed it here as well...

Resets can easily be googled. People cant be that ******ed to not google it?

Also what vid are you talking about? Can you send me the link?

  14. May 14, 2017
oh, they are doing this every week i make a weekly raid :d it can't be helped... it even feels like they forget about the different day from raid locks each single week lol i gave it as an example of course, there are tonz of things that are like so obvious that they are burning your eyes leaving you blinded for the time to come...
for rest, check your pm :) remember though that while the player is active, it is unacceptable by the forum rules to paste videos with his name visible (on moral side, it is debatable, however if he scams again - he will be perma-banned anyway and it would be k)

    This needs a sticky. Seriously.

Or at least put it into the Guides section or something.
