1. Mixing Rams

    Hi there,

Are there any major risks to mixing RAM brand and speed?

I bought 4gb DDR4 2400Mhz and unable to find another one of the same brand.
    I did however find a 4gb DDR4 2133 Mhz (different brand).

    Is this a bad idea?

My only concerns are damaging other hardware?

    Thanks

You always try to match the ram.

With different frequencies, both will run at lower ones.
Didn't try mixing voltages but it doesn't seem like a smart thing to do. Both voltages get matched I believe so that means you either overvolt or undervolt one.

  3. basicly what Blue said.

it doesint matter what brand it is, its just a name as far as i know. you would want to find another with 2400, or else your 2400 will run @ 2133. it also might happen them both running @ lower like 2100 or smth.

i never tryed using diff ones myself, but i think thats what would happen.

  4. This is what the title made me think of

  5. Whatever you do, just don't download it. You're bound to get some really weird results.

  6. Thanks for the advice guys :3

This is what the title made me think of
I don't know if I can rename the thread title, but if I can, I'll making it "Mixing Rams"
