Unfortunately I am still in need of some pieces. Also experimenting with a few new gear choices just for my own sake. I did however inspect your logs, it seems that where we lose on Patch, our rogues compensate plenty on other bosses. We will see on BiS completed.

Little update.

I've done some testing on PTR as I was attempting to find out what weapons would give better results. Since I was already there I ran a set with your proposed BiS list to see what the difference was. To make it somewhat consistent I ran with 2 million damage intervals, self bleeding, and absolutely zero external buffs. I assumed that as per chemical titration, 4 attempts at testing were sufficient. Here are the results:

Your BiS list:
Attempt 1: 3669 DPS
Attempt 2: 3599 DPS
Attempt 3: 3619 DPS
Attempt 4: 3641 DPS

Average: 3632 DPS

My BiS list with 2x http://wotlk.openwow.com/item=40386 :
Attempt 1: 3874 DPS
Attempt 2: 3921 DPS
Attempt 3: 3869 DPS
Attempt 4: 3901 DPS

Average: 3891.3 DPS

Attempt 1: 3813 DPS
Attempt 2: 3809 DPS

Discussion: I had a feeling in the back of my head that using two http://wotlk.openwow.com/item=40386 would be better, but never tested it. Now that I have it seems to be yielding better results. Our 2nd rogue managed to get his hands on two of these bad boys and has greatly improved his DPS. 16k on Thaddius was quite a shock.

Conclusion: Have any rogues parsed 8k on Patch? Not quite. However, in the same raid you manage to do less on other bosses than us. Excuses aside, if you want somebody to accept your results as valid, consistency is vital. I am also quite sure that the numbers above, as well as in our logs, will not convince you of anything. How could they? When I ignored all-so-important secondary stats... Feel free to test it yourselves. As for "your" list, it has just been posted in the most viewed assassination rogue thread, which in a few months will be completely obsolete and we can begin this dance once more. :) So if the stupid want to be lead by the blind, who am I to stop them. As far as I am concerned, my input here has concluded.

Dont compare my performance on other bosses for 1 week just cuz i am clwoning around cuz i dont wanna play as single rogue. ( ill actualy use both hands to play next week and link u logs :) if that will give u some insight)

I keep some secrets for myself when it comes to gearing but the list i provided is the best possible for people who actualy need a list can get.

Finaly, Im not gonna argue with you anymore because I dont consider you a good rogue and I think you lack a lot of knowledge about the class when it comes to PVE. gearing is fundamental to unlocking your potential as a pure dps class such as rogue.

on a static long boss fight 2x1.80 is the besr but for all situations mh 1.80 and oh 1.40 comes out on top

And allow me to elaborate. Your BiS list was copied from this thread and posted in an assassination rogue guide.

I also enjoy how my knowledge of the class hinders on using literally two different items :D I have said time and time again, I used what you are suggesting and did less DPS. That must be difficult to digest... My logic is not based on target dummy DPS, it was just an example. The same margin translates into a raid. So one more time, if your set gave me at least close to the same result I would already pat you on the back and give you a cookie like a true private server elitist rogue god deserves. Dafuq I am wasting my time here for if that was not true? Or if I haven't tested it? You must think I'm on a mission to be called out on **** :D Furthermore, every player has secrets, but yours won't stretch past anything I already know; it's not rocket science.

So please, parse a full set of logs on wenesday (if that is when you raid after reset) and I shall do the same. I'm still a few items away, but it won't matter.

I am pretty sure 1.4 will always be better when there is no Ilvl discrepancy like we have at the moment. 226 > 213 despite the speed as I have recently found out :(
