It's of great pride and honor to live the day we celebrate the anniversary of our guild and family, Covenant. It's a great feat, having spent the past year through the diverse moments. We had the moments of joy. We had the moments of struggle. All of which accompanied by the hospitality and maturity of many, held in one. We are one, we are everyone; a slogan that was here to stay and manifest throughout this amazing year.
Our appreciation, our thank you's, can only go to the members of the guild. The building blocks, the backbone and the oasis for Covenant. This is your achievement, your feat and your own solid will and resolution. It's been a great journey, a one that started but never ends.
To all the members of this family, Covenant hasn't given you a mere community and end-game play, but friends whom you'd favor, cherish and wish that someday you'd meet face-to-face.
As representatives of Covenant's officer council, we wish you a happy new year. A year that will dawn a continuing flourish of a community and a family; a covenant.
With the spirit of celebrations and entertainment, we've embarked on some great events for our members in our anniversary.
Without an official summoning, we've gathered up in the place where we forged the guild, Ironforge.
Sukino and Lilaids were humble enough to welcome us in their own home in Ironforge. (The biscuits were awesome, Suki). Afterwards, we had some nice storytelling of Covenant's history, from its first day till our current time. The members had their knowledge tested afterwards with a nice quiz and epic prizes.
(Dis' nab iz slow.) We had a blast in our lvl 1 dwarf race. The countdown started as the Bennyhill's music got streamed over our Teamspeak. Many death, many trolls and great patience. Congratulations to Jelibon, Nanoqt and Anyone for winning the event and reaching the finish line! Perseverance all the way!
We couldn't end our anniversary events without some PvP seasoning and spices. The epic pillar struggles emerged Thacin and Yelary as the combatants for the next 1v1 duel. With Yelary hammering Thacin, it was his call to win. Congratulations Yelary, a.k.a Nanoqt!
Afterwards, the ruthless battle, in which only one exquisite player emerges victorious, was held. Stacked up at one spot, the heroes were commanded to unleash their rage after the countdown to spread ended! Congrats to Infinitedk, a.k.a Amazze for winning the last man standing match!
We'll end our anniversary post, with a poem made by one of our past veteran players who never settled but to serve Covenant's cause.
Throughout the year that has pass
We brought Glory to your hearts.
We fought our battles and our wars,
We mourned our losses and the costs,
We praised the heroes and the just,
We stood together, all as one.
We saw the Dragons rise in flight,
A sign of Kingdom thatÔÇÖs to come,
We lit the Light in a KingÔÇÖs heart,
A sign of Hope, to free the land.
We took the arms, we stood our grounds,
True to our goals, as Covenant we rose.
We took the oath, to remain Just,
Together, to the very last.
And thus, with every year to pass,
WeÔÇÖll join the triumph in the skies.
With every year that comes and goes
The Christmas Carol brings us close.
And as the herald angels sing,
ÔÇ£Glory to the newborn King!ÔÇØ
WeÔÇÖll take a moment in our thought
To light a candle for our Hopes.
