Hi guys.


I am running out of options and i though this will be a good place to ask for help. I just purchased a new PC and i am having trouble installing addons.
Not as much installing them as making them work. My addons are downloaded -> extracted in the correct directory -> They appear in my account screen with all my chars in the bottom left "addons""button yet they don''t work in game at all. This is something that is happening on both Wotlk and TBC which leads me to believe that its a PC not allowing addons to work type of issue if any 1 can come up with any suggestions or even a solution i will be extremely thankful. My new pc is an Acer E5-575G-56L4.


P.S. all my addons worked for both expansions (WotLK and TBC) and even for MoP on 2 of my old PCs.

From your comment you seem to be knowledgeable of addons. I'll ask anyways, did you activated the "load out of date addons", if not in the beginning of my post you can find what to do. I just tested out the addon and it will pop up typing "/TSI" in chat without the "".

I did activate the "load out of date addons", which is found in the addon menu to the bottom left of the screen after logging into the account. Also I tried "/TSI", and all I got was "Type 'help' for a listing of a few commands"

Try deleting your "cache" folder, also take out the "WTF" folder and set it aside to see if will show up. Both folders will remake after you start the game. The only set back is if you remove the WTF folder anything you have setup in game will not be there. But I would try the "Cache" folder first, it has no importance to the game.

i cant seem to get the add-ons working. i clicked load out of date add-ons. i removed the cache folder and i got rid of the WTF folders. still add-ons arent working.

Normally yes I would love recount, but the page notes that recount wasn't a thing for BC, so I would like an equivalent.

But that link seems to say otherwise so ty haha
