1. Hybrid Hunter Specs

Hello all, this is my first post ever so please don't hate for that reason. If you find something else to hate on be my guest.

Today I wanted to open up a new door for you guys. A door that once opened you can go back if you want, no-ones stopping you.
Here are a few builds I built

I call this an Arcane Hunter:

This spec I just wanted to maximize dps:
    http://rpgworld.altervista.org/335/h...00000000000000

Those are just the ones I wanted to share, I have more but I'm not giving away all my secrets. Experiment a little, maybe try an other class too, i hear paladins hybrid well

Good day, Good luck, and Good chemistry!

  2. Arcane Hunter:
The Arcane shot deals 27% more damage at all times
    2% when pet is active
5% when tracking the respective target
An extra 20% an your next shot with rapid killing bringing it to a whopping 54% extra damage...
Then you know.... lock and load.....

Also take into account Improved Hunters Mark, Improved Aspects, then pets with Culling the Herd are always welcomed. Maybe a wolf, get that howl, why not

  3. Ok but what about the last spec, seems all over the place. Shouldn't you just get explosive or chimera shot or something?
Edited: April 22, 2015 Reason: No reason

  4. It would work really well, if you had 4-5k gs... Thing is that in end-game raiding scenarios, the gear is too good and you get too much arp to not go MM and spam those steady shots. The thing that would work better just to get the +3% raid-wide damage bonus from Ferocious Inspiration, is going a spec that's like 34/33/4, getting ferocious inspiration and then going as deep in the MM tree as possible. You will still lose a LOT of dps compared to a regular MM spec, but your raid's overal dps will probably be higher because of the damage buff. That is, if you have no BM hunters or arcane mages, which most guilds don't.

  5. so something more like this?

thank you for your feedback, quite helpful :)

  6. It's getting there, but you're missing a lot of the best talents and you have some bad talents in there. This is the spec that I have: http://rpgworld.altervista.org/335/h...00000000000000 but I haven't played with it yet. Theoretically though, this is in my opinion the best hybrid spec.

Reasoning behind the differences in our specs:

    Beast Mastery
-You don't need armor since most (or even all) damage you take is magical in encounters, so it's better to get health over armor in the BM tree
-You only need 3/5 frenzy to keep the attack speed buff up permanently
-Animal handler, intimidation and bestial wrath give more damage, and cost only 4 points total to get.

    Marksman
-You need the crit damage from mortal shots, no matter what spec you play, it's crucial.
-Aimed shot is instant (multi-shot actually has a 0.434 second cast-time without any haste) and interacts with piercing shots.
-You don't need trueshot aura because you will always have 3-4 hunters in every 25 man raid group, so you will always have the trueshot aura buff from them. Then again, it's good to have in 10 man raids or 5 man dungeons, and it's only 1 point, so you could get it.
-Piercing shots is an amazing talent which increases your damage by a lot, your steady and aimed shots will do +30% damage as a DoT pretty much.

    Survival
-You need hawk eye for BPC 25 hc and LK 25 hc, if you're not doing any of those bosses then you don't need it.
