WotLK Water Elemental always set to Aggressive

Hi all,
First off, I tried searching for this in the forum and couldn't find anything (searched 'water elemental aggressive'), as well as checked the bugtracker to see if it was reported already, which I did not find (WOTLK).

But, I've been trying to figure out how to get my pet to be summoned in passive mode. I vaguely recall in retail, after changing the engagement mode of the water elemental, the next time you summoned it it would save the previous mode it was set to. However, here it seems to always go back to aggressive.

Does anyone know of any fixes for this? I've tried using a few macros to try and summon the pet in passive mode however I haven't found a working macro yet.
