1. Frost dk pvp 3.3.5

Can someone post the talents of most frost dks in 3.3.5 pvp?

  2. Frost PvP, ooooh you crazy man!

    UH presence for PvP.

EDIT: I forgot blood talent Subversion isn't working here, so these 3 points should be spent on Blade Barrier.

Talents in Bladed Armor are more or less optional, utility can be better than pure damage.

Why no points in subversion? U dont use obliterate?

  5. Obliterate does less damage than FS even on cloth. 90% of time I think you should be just doing chain, plague strike, FS. If target has more armor than cloth then icy touch + PS > obliterate easily.

Do notice superior runic power gain from chains of ice with single rune (20) vs Obliterate's (25 rp) with 2 runes consumed. Chains of ice + plague strike along with passive runic power generation from talents / 4 pc results in enough runic power to frost strike reliably and more often.

That passive runic power thing (I think it was 2rp/5 sec) can be pretty useful for clutch frost strikes on low hp targets when youre missing last bit of runic power, but it is more of 2v2 thing.

  6. I get ur point with the higher runic power gained from chain and plague strike and i agree that its in general better than using obliterate but i still find obliterate quite usefull when going for a kill.
For example against a lock, having both disease on the lock and 130% runic power and then dump all runic power and runes for frost strike and obliterate. Then use empower rune weapon and again dump runes and runic power for FS and Obliterate.
In like 12 seconds 8 FS and 4 obliterates can be used which should provide the highest possible burst dmg.
I think even against plate targets its worth to use obliterate when going for a kill because it grants the most runic power in one GCD.

  7. Why no points in subversion? U dont use obliterate?
    Subversion is bugged.
In PvP, frost strikes are indeed more important than obliterates, but if subversion was working, then it would be the best option. Obliterates are important, still. You should aim for ARP over STR too, as autoattacks deal more damage than anything else.

  8. Crit for frost dk?! ewwww
    http://rpgworld.altervista.org/335/d...00000000000000
take this my friend, best pvp build for frost dk, this gives you high runic power generation, a lot of killing machines procs, and survivebility. Howling blast and crit are useless. your chains of ice range is 30 which is great for running enemies. your disease last for 21 seconds and you don't have to worry about them running out 'cause you will be aplying them with your normal rotation, only use frost strikes when killing machine procs. with the pvp gloves and this talent build, chains of ice generates 20 runic power instead of normal 10 runic power, so you will always have enough runic power for frost strikes. the glyphs you should take are: hungering cold, frost strike, obliterate.gem str and some purple str and stam gems for the meta gem. with this build I got up to 2100 rating with a warrior as partner. good luck :)

    Have fun with it!
Immortal vs melee and anything except perhaps frost mages and hunters won't be able to do much against you. ^^
Use Unholy presence against anything that's not Warrior/Rogue/Feral/Hunter!

Well it's not as simple as that. A really good feral will make you cry, same goes for good rogues. You do have the advantage of being somewhat better against Rets than UH, but it will still be a tough fight if the Ret knows what he's doing.

A good Affli will also have a pretty decent chance against you.

That said, this is pretty much the spec I would recommend if you're going the Frost route for pvp (it's hella fun when you pool up some RP and dump it all on some poor schmuck).

This spec looks pretty nice for 1vs1 and for arena with out a healer. For everything else i would use zedarus talent tree.

Rogues are pain in the *** to every non-ret melee. Hunters were harder for my dk with that spec (good ones) because all of your damage comes from melee range thus you don't stand any chance if being kited and occasional rogues. Also it was super good vs rets because they generally have no clue how to fight against a Fdk and Unholy Presence let's you maul them really fast and reapply diseases in case they know what "Cleanse" spell does.
Warlocks and other non-frost mage casters were never really a threat. Except exceptional Shadow Priests, which was maybe 2 of them at the time ^^

I used that spec for duels, arenas and bgs. Well basically everything. In bgs/duels it's insane, once you get to know all the tricks it has, it can really be overpowered if you're geared and it can take hell of a lot of punishment. In arenas I had around 2k-2.1k rating with it before I stopped playing arenas. The classes I played with were - Spriest and Ret.

This all is from a pov of ~6.1k fdk with no donated items.

  13. Do u guys using Obliterate or better to use chain of ice + plague strike when howling blast is on CD?

  14. http://wotlk.openwow.com/talent#jf0bZGMetArckbzcuzAZf0M
Id go with this. U dont need HB.

For 1vs1 and bgs use what evangelion posted.

Obliterate, while not doing as much damage as frost strike, is still the fastest way to deal damage and get runic power (25).
So that means that when youre going for the kill its better to Oblit rather than PS + IT. Sort of like it is in cata.
Take in account Girdle of Gorefiend, which increases Oblit crit damage by 45%.

  15. What presence is preferable for PVP? Also, is Sigil of the Vengeful heart optimal for Frost PvP? Is Annihilation talent skippable ?
