If you're talking about the Lion King-looking lion, it's only available in Cataclysm.

That was patched out in the game with patch 1.11 I believe. If he still does on this server (you should tame and check) it's a glitch; report it to the devs.

Darn! I guess he won't be worth my time then. I found him the other day and was taming him, had only like a second left in the tame and some ******* multi boxer kills him -_-
What about spirit beasts? They are in this patch right? I never see any hunters with one.

They exist. They are considered exotic beasts, and as such you have to be 51 points deep into BM to grab them. This is not really good, as in both PVP/PVE either MM or SV is superior at any given time.

As a lvl 74 BM hunter, I tamed Arcturis yesterday at 4:49am server time in realm Lordaeron, I got extremely lucky cuz i started to camp it and in 1 hour and 30 mins Arcturis spawned in it's retail spawning spot. And no there is no need to kill the stag, Arcturis spawns every 8 hours to 24 hours. Keep in mind that Arcturis will kill you before you complete the tame so have freeze trap set before starting the tame even if you are a lvl 80 well geared hunter. Good luck hunters! <3

Today while i was lvling, Arcturis spawned at 3:05pm server time and got tamed at 3:11pm server time in realm Lordaeron

I am happy to report that I just tamed Mazzranache on Lorderon (wotlk) at 10.41am ST, 5 Jan 2018. ^_^
I casually camped for him on and off for roughly 2 days.

Helloo,
I'm in Blade's Edge Mountains looking to tame the mist version of the Angered Arakkoa Protector. The problem is, none of the arroka in these areas go through the animation to summon the bird. I've lowered them to less than 25% health on the summoning circles for a good minute, they just don't summon this beast. And neither is the beast pre-spawned.
Has anyone been successful in taming this beast or seen anyone with it?Edited: February 27, 2021

I read Derekk's post on it. Unfortunately there is no picture showing up and that was made 5 years ago; he also tamed it in a different way than what is supposedly intended. This is supposed to be a summoned beast but he says it was prespawned for him at that time which is very confusing for me because I havent seen it spawned at any of the locations. I just dont know if its something wrong with how I'm trying to summon the beast or if its the game that has an issue. It's very disheartening, at some point killing arakkoa's over and over in a few hits gets a bit dull without knowing if the summon will still work.
