Chat glitch help please?

Me and my brother are having the same issue, might be just us? None of my messaging i send show up or do any messages i receive. I cant see any messages from my guild and i cant talk to anyone unless they are right in front of me. Is there any fix to this?

Type "/reload" or "/reloadui". For global and guild chat, you might need to type "/join guild" again.

neither one of those worked for me. I really have no idea what the problem could be.
