1. We were exactly the same level, so there shouldn't be any reason the thing didn't work. We'll have to check later if it happens on other escort quests too though.
And you don't need to be level 16, we were both around 14 and could do the quest. (most of the mobs were orange)
Well, I am testing all the quests I can, unfortunately, I can't test in group, because I'm playing alone. But what I can teel is that bug is a famous bug I think (at least for me), because I remember like yeesterday back in 2011 when the Lordaeron came out, I remember to try to do a escourt quest in Redridge Mountains while I was in group with another person, well, we both helped the NPC to get to the place he wanted to, but only the other guy (the member of my group) could complete the quest while I was forced to repeat the same quest in order to complete it too. I thought it could have changed from 2011 to today, but seems it is still buggy, but I guess that is normal because no1 (inclusive me) didn't report that back then.

  2. dont know if thats a bug or not... but the mobs supposed to follow u for eternity (abit less) and u aggro them from 1 km away from u (abit less) ? i mean i wanna aggro 1 mob and milion comes, i go in a road , milion comes anyway and they leave after seriously 300 yards away... come on im warlock! another thing is that i dont remember that my mana was gone so fast in the past... maybe its just that i played too much pandaria or coz i was always higher lvl tha supposed to actually be at some point (5x) but i remember i didnt have to rest so much in the past
EDIT: forgot to add some positive things :P i loved how finally the mobs actually go around things, awesome job, and really good job for fixing quests :D i already passed quests i never saw working here ^^

  3. As a reminder to everyone who has complained about ANYTHING on warmane, this isnt Blizzard, you didnt buy a box set, you dont have to pay them to play here. The people who let us play on THEIR PRIVATE servers, are nice enough to give us as much as they have. Dont be ungrateful.

  4. Actually really hyped about this^.^

No, mobs go back after about 100-200 yards, if they keep following its cos they get slowed or crowd-controled (fear, polymorph etc).

Warlocks have low mana-reg and the spells drain your mana quite fast. A tip is to just put 3 dots and wand it down, no need to spam shadowbolt.

  6. I've leveld a few character on the PTR now and there's a bug that can get quite painful when you're low level.

Often, if you're against a caster type monster , and he happens to flee because he is low life while casting a spell, this monster will finish his cast while running away, making it really painful to deal with if you're melee given how fast they run while fleeing.

After the monsterr is done casting his current spell he won't cast another one while fleeing but seeing how one bolt from those mobs hurts it can put you in dire situations because there's not much you can do to stop it when they run faster than you.

I don't know if this bug has been reported yet (it hasn't been on this thread atleast) and apologize in advance if it has already been somewhere.
Only some of the casters do this, most of them "fail" their cast when they start running. I suggest u put it on bugtracker, along with all other bugs you find.

  7. Question about "Must have a lower tier equipped before higher item can be obtained using coins".
That means it is possible to donate T9 N, than T9 HC, then T10 N, T10 HC? If it is that way then it will be the same situation as right now, just need to donate for previous tiers, which will not be a problem for most dedicated donors. That means when ICC will come out there will be already T10 HC geared players at the start. There are already so called "donor guilds", I bet they wont have a problem to donate a bit more to get realm 1st achievements...and also the same old unreal GS requirements will be reborn.

I hope it will be this way - you must obtain in-game T9 N item to donate for T9 HC item.

As far us i understood, it should be this way.

Well, there will always be guilds which ask for gearscore, but its your decision where you are gonna apply.
Why would you apply to a guild asking for Gs rather than playing experience and similar :P

They would need to get T9 from raiding to get the HC equivalent at a much higher cost making it less likely that you would see fully geared HC-players.

There will always be a few ppl who has enough cash to do that, but that amount of ppl is small. Im guessing there will be more who wants to upgrade weapons and trinkets, and then be done with it. Just remember that those who would donate for gear are more likely to join other realms thanks to instant-maxlvl.

Most of the donors i have been talking to on the PTR would much rather see that gear is only obtainable ingame, but instead only have cosmetics that would be unobtainable for non-donors like the black qiraj mount among other things. That would make donors stand out among the crowd of endgame-geared ppl.

Or just put an achievement-lock on the coin-shop forcing u to have finished a boss or raid to be able to buy the gear from it instantly instead of waiting several weeks for the thing u want to drop then get out-rolled. Since he did kill the boss he sure earned the possibility to get that item he so desperately wants.

I would love feedback from the rest of u about my suggestion :)

Well, altough i like the idea of doing something like that, i dont thing that way would.be best. An easy and simples way is just NOT sell the normal items with coins. Making the normal equipaments only ingame available would force the players to actually do the dungeon/RAID to get it and THEN buy its heróica version.

With this, i believe that would create an enviroment that even ppl who p2w are more experienced.

Sorry for the bad english and i hope for interesting opinions

That and the fact that alot of the creatures dont have some spells that they are supposed to have. For example the "Syndicate Thief" (one of the mobs in Arathi Highlands) doesnt have Disarms, nor backstabs or Poison, they only do normal hits. I have some sites to prove that they dont have any spells, the OpenWoW site for the Syndicate Thief I have noted alot of these issues on a paper, I want to report all the bugs I've found along the way and inclusive issues of that nature (I have hope they really fix it, they said they wanted a true blizzlike server, so I am working hard to get all the issues reported).

That is an excelent idea, I like that, this way would certainly make the game more fair and less Pay2Winish imo.

The thing is, this system can't work and it should stay with item level requirement instead of this. There's no heroic version of gear in tier7, and ulduar's hard mode is a slight ilevel variation too (and at the highest ulduar ilevel, 25hard mode, you don't have counterparts for every slots).

If the staff could, they wouldn't even implement a coin system on the realm, but they have to generate money in a way to sustain Lordaeron.

If the system could use any tweak, it would be instead to be able to upgrade to only the lower item level of a raid tier (which means for exemple only item level 200 for tier 7(10man gear), 213and some 226 for T8 (10man ulduar/some 25man without including the 10man hardmode), etc. But I doubt it will be like that since it wouldn't be too much appealing for people who donate .(even though I can't say for sure because I didn't really play on any warmane realm except blackrock till now so I don't know much about the coin spent statistics)

  13. Hello do you know when the you gonna realese it? atm its PTR but when can we expect it to launch? please sooner than later =)

  14. Hello, iam really happy that lordareon is coming back but iam wondering will we lose all our charrs after testing phase is done? so everyone starts at lvl 1 again?
Well as you say "our chars" i guess you are playing on the Lordareo now. And if you are capable of reading wich i guess you are. you should have noticed the message you get everytime you log in. it clearly states that all characters will be deleted before launching the real server.

Thing is, some items cannot be "upgraded" to heroic, since they doesnt exist. Thats why i was thinking of the forced lock until that person got the achievement from the boss. Buying items with coins from raids you havent even been inside is a bit overpowered on a x1 realm, and by that i can call an example:

You finally finish ICC normal and got full ICC normal gear, then u log out. You go into the coinshop and upgrade your whole gear to heroic, even tho you never did the heroic raid and dont plan to do so, cos why would you? You are now fully geared.

    OR:

You just killed 3 bosses in ICC and raid disbanded. You got nothing. You log out and go into the coinshop and buy those items you wanted from those 3 bosses. Would you stop there or would you try to get more?

What would benefit the realm the most?
