Probably a combination of holiday family events ending (omg get to the computer) and Christmas coins being distributed.

I wasn't there but I've played Molten's heydays in 2011. At the time, there was always something going on, esp those entertaining ninja accusations xD Things are much stricter nowadays.

Population always peaks during the holidays and dies down again by mid-January. It has been like that until 2014 when population remained dead throughout the year, and it got worse when you-know-what happened.

Right now, I'm just happy the server is back and the community continues to be alive and well.
