Pandaria Is it worth matching the gem bonus?

For certain parts of our gears we will get the pvp power bonus, however is it really worth gemming a purple/orange/green whatever color just to suit the bonus instead of a pure critical gem?

You need to calculate that, but for pvp power no.

eg: you have a red and blue slot and 60 agility socket bonus. 2 red gems would give you 160+160=320 agility.
If you follow colors you end up with 160+80+60=300 agility +160 secondary stat.

The bottom line is that you gem colors only when its worth getting the socket bonus, otherwise you gem for your best stat.

So if the socket bonus is a pvp power i should be focusing on gemming my main stats right? Such as crit? So is pvp power really bad compared to all the other stats? so for all classses is it true to say if i have gears that gives socket bonus of pvp power i should just gem my main stat?

Well it depends on the amount of both, but yeah, you generally don't want socket bonuses, unless it gives you more(or equal) stats than by geming pure color ones.
