Lordaeron Login Problem. (Retrieving Character List)

When I try to access the PTR it always freezes on Retrieving Character List. Does anyone else have this issue? I must mention that I am now using the Old client having already used the New one to create the characters on the server.
Could that be it? I can access the other realms just fine and the characters that I created prior to switching to the Old client.
It is only the PTR that is bugged for me.

I have the exact same problem and I'm using the new client.

Ok, I had the same problem and sometimes do, but no need to fear! I have the temporary solution!

1:Open WoW, and click the lord realm.
2:You will get the retrieving char list, press cancel
3:It will ask you to pick a realm, Press cancel
4:Now you can click create a char, Just click it, then logout
5:Log back in, and now you can create and play your char

Note:Once you learn the steps by heart it literally takes less than 30 secs to get into Lord

Still happens here and i cant use Tasity's Solution

Hello.

I've played on lordaeron since it's release a few hours ago. I managed to play there with no problems.
I went away for a bit for IRL stuff and found my account logged out, probably due to a restart or d/c.
When I try to login I get in a 30man queue, which is like 10seconds. When I finally enter it keeps saying, retrieving character list.
I can however log in to a diff realm, also tried restarting and logging on a diff account.

Would love some help on this.

Retrieving Character List and creating char also takes a long time ....still waiting for it :-/

I just restarted my client and i'm no longer able to load the character screen. Getting the error mentioned.
