Don't want pay to win. Your thoughts?

There has been some troubling rumors flying around Lordaeron today that Warmane is planning on allowing players to buy tiered gear that is a previous tier below the current raid progression.

What is the official word on this? Is this for real?

In my humble opinion, that almost entirely destroys the purpose of a 'hardcore' server. What you have happening now is fantastic, and the game is actually being played the way it was meant to be played. People are making groups to do dungeons, questing together, banding together to take over quest areas from the opposing faction. It is COOL-AS-****.

Please don't ruin that for us. Many of us came to play here because we appreciate a real challenge, and giving other players any kind of performance advantage through paying is going to affect the server in a negative way, and chase away the truly harcdore players.


We understand that you guys have to make money - and we can appreciate that. Can we find some other way?


And if this isn't the case - where can we find relevant info on the realm? The sticky thread that was last updated in August is not very informative.

Items currently available are only up to Blackrock Spire item level while in-game items are obtainable from Molten Core, Blackwing Lair and Temple of Ahn'Qiraj.
