1. Bugged Talents?

I've been trying to find a list of misbehaving talents so I could make my builds, but I can't for the love of me find a condensed, up-to-date, WotLK list. Could someone give me some pointers?

These are the present bugs I know of - only for Ragnaros and Deathwing:

    Blood:
    http://wotlk.openwow.com/spell=49027 Not really doing dmg.
http://wotlk.openwow.com/spell=50365 You don't retain the healing while in Frost/UH-Presence
http://wotlk.openwow.com/spell=61154 You don't gain any ARP. It works like Sunder Armor - treats your target like it has x% amount less armor.

    Frost:
http://wotlk.openwow.com/spell=65661 Death Strike will heal you for the double amount while dual wielding.

    Unholy:
http://wotlk.openwow.com/spell=55620 The dmg-reduction part isn't working. Your ghoul will still die every time he faces any boss/aoe dmg.
http://wotlk.openwow.com/spell=49206 The gargoyle will attack a random target in range and has a lower dmg output than expected. (not really sure on this part)

There are some rumors about the ppm of http://wotlk.openwow.com/spell=51123 being lower than it should be. Also http://wotlk.openwow.com/spell=49219 is discussed to not be doing enough dmg. But actually I have no idea of this being true or not.

  3. Killing Machine and BCB work properly. I have no idea who and why thinks that KM procs lower than it should be, but it doesn't. BCB is just a bad talent overall - people expect more from it but this talent just can't provide it, it's merely a filler dmg. The gargoyle really does lower damage than it should. Also, Frost Strike calculations inside ICC are wrong, which pushes Frost Strike first on Recount up from 2nd-3rd and promotes Str stacking instead of ArP for Frost DKs.

The rest is as you said it, Bensten.

  4. Thanks, you two, you're lifesavers! Kudos!

Also, frost strike misbehaving in a single zone? That's an interesting bug for sure!

Not in a single zone,it receives any dmg % increase 2 times. For example if you proc your 4pT10(3% extra dmg) it will get 6.Icc buff isn't 30,it's 60 for frost strike.BQL's bite gives 200 instead of 100 for frost strike. And while this does promote str play, str is still behind arp in pmuch every aspect.

  6. Why is it ArP is so far ahead? Is there some warmane oddity at play, or what?

  7. No. It's because the only non-physical damage Frost has is Frost Strike, the occasional Howling Blast from Rime, and diseases. Everything else is physical - auto-attacks, Obliterate, Blood Strike - and they total for around 2/3 of your damage, even if you're stacking Str. If you're stacking ArP they can reach 75-80% of all your damage.

In AoE situations Str pulls ahead because of Howling Blast and diseases, but in single-target fights ArP is stronger... or at least should be if Frost Strike wasn't bugged. The way it is on Warmane you can simply stick with Str and still do well on single-target.

  8. Is there a cap to be mindful of with arpen? It's been so long since I played on a patch that actually still had it :P

    1400.

"The message you have entered is too short."

  10. Well if you want to be sub-par stick with the ''regular'' and overused bis str stacked bis list.Sub-par comapred to any arp setup.I've raced a lot of str stacked dks. There has been only one,so far, to be able to beat or come close to my damage(as arp). And I'm sure that any arp dk that has tried AoEing on sindra adds or wherever really vs a str stacked dk will have noticed that if they're not ahead it's cuz of rime procs,or if they are ahead it's still cuz of rime procs.Anyhow nobody cares about AoE so that's not a valid comparison.

    TLDR
Play str if you want to underperform.

  11. True that, Rikofelt :D As soon as you get an ArP trinket or you simply get enough ArP gear, you should switch to ArP-stacking instead of Str and stick to it.

  12. Got it, so my first priority as non-unholy dps (after hit/expertise) is to get as close to 1400 arpen as possible!

  13. Well I'd say that if you can't get an exact 1,400 number, staying below would likely be worse than going for full str.Or it may be kinda close.Still I'd recommend only going for it after you've calculated that you can get the 1,400 rate.

  14. Ow, so it's 1400 or nothing? how come? And how much would Blood-Gorged count for?

  15. As Bensten said blood gorged gives like no arp,it just reduces the base armor a boss has,but it doesn't ignore it.And if u commit to arp you will neglect str(there really is nothing else to gem for in a dk).So that loss wo't be very good if you can't capitalise on it(getting the 1,400 cap).
