around 1000 for higher burst or aim for higher?

not to be pessimistic but here it goes.
doesn't matter really, you will still get hit like a truck from some classes, since resilience is not scripted well on rag/dw (that is unless you are playing on blackrock) unfortunatly, your pets will get killed by any aoe.
here's hoping they copy the scripts from blackrock to dw/rag
With regard to the damage a player takes, resilience works more or less completely fine. Quit spreading that rumour. The main bug is resilience not being inherited by pets, which sets back pet classes a lot.
Resilience works fine, however there are bugs in the codes of a few spells which make people believe the resilience isn't working properly.
On topic: It depends on your playstyle, your skill level, the class you're playing with.
Generally speaking a good Unholy DK playing with a Holy Paladin is going to be fine sitting at a little above 900 resilience.
In most cases you'll be fine playing with 1000-1100 resilience.
