1. Worgen, Druids, and the Light

I could try to make this a huge post, but...why?

Is it possible for Worgen Druids to follow/serve the Light?

  2. Here's where it gets weird though. The Draenai are extremely spiritual beings, who serve the Light. The Broken are a sub-race of Draenai who were cut off from the Light. However, while cut off, they can still believe/serve the Light. One prominent Broken, Nobundo, was a Paladin, a servant of the Light, before the "cut-off". Afterwards, he became a Shaman, as a way to serve the Light, as he claimed he could hear the Light through the elements, if I remember correctly.

So, what this means, is that the Light could be served by other classes. While Shaman draw their power from the elements and elemental magics, they could believe it to be an extension of the Light, and thus serve it, while not directly feeling/having contact with it.

Leading to, say a Druid drawing their power from nature. Could one then believe that nature comes from the Light, and nature magic an extension from it?

  3. Druidic powers require knowledge, not worship or beliefs. And even if that were the case, Tauren are extremely Druidic in their nature and culture, yet they are able to be paladins and priests. It's rather clear that a belief in the Light and righteousness is not mutually exclusive with interacting with mother nature.

  4. According to Wow Lore, -all- druids honor a patron. The light, according to wow lore, is a philosophy. With certain patrons i'd think it would be possible, yes, but they would still get their powers from their patron.

This and mostly the source of power for druids is Azeroth/Ysera's Dream not Light

  6. Worgen druids aren't like Tauren or Nelf druids before the whole cataclysm thing. It's only after the night elves save the gilneans from the worgen curse with druidic magic that they adopt the philosophical values.
Gilneans originally relied on druidic magic simply for the benefits it gave with crop growing/harvesting and not so much about balance/immersion with nature or protecting the emerald dream.

Anyone can follow the light simply by honoring their ancestor's, heroes, kings, etc. Divine spirits are like any other spirit, if you call upon it and it deems you worthy it'll lend you power.
The human philosophy of the light is only half right; the light isn't channeled by the individual (as they believe), but channeled through the individual.
